New Ministry Directions
On Sunday, June 29, 2008, the church commissioned a Launch Team of nine people to investigate starting a satellite church plant specifically targeted to teenagers and college age people. Their mission is to conduct a feasibility study and cost analysis of this second site church and report back to the church at the January 2009 annual meeting.
In the interim, we are working with the West Springfield Teen Center to host some events for teens and college age people during the upcoming year:
  • Hosting a Summer Concert on September 6, 2008.
  • Helping teens from the FBC Youth Group host a monthly coffee house ministry of music, fellowship, and sharing God's love.
The Launch Team has set up a Wiki as a tool to help us manage our study and events. We post our thoughts and the progress on our work regularly. Click on the banner below to see what we're up to!

...to clear snow at the parsonage starting January 6. Please speak to Pastor Bob if you are available.

Mentors Needed

Men and women of all ages are needed at the Brush Hill Academy in West Springfield to mentor at-risk teens. No experience is necessary, and time spent is one hour per week.
