Genesis 1:2-3
Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said … (NIV)
And God said…
It is not like God is finished speaking to us.
Friends, today is like any other day God has created. Presently, the Holy Spirit is hovering over our formless hearts, our empty souls, our deep, dark convoluted lives and He is ready, able and willing to bring us out from the night into the light of day.
Today, this hour, this very moment God desires to shape and mold us; more than that, He wants to fill us with His Spirit and His love.
Question is: are we going to listen to the call of God or choose to remain deaf to the tenor of His voice?
"What joy to hear my Savior say
'I love you' each and every day."

1 Thessalonians 3:7-13
Therefore, brothers, in all our distress and persecution we were encouraged about you because of your faith. For now we really live, since you are standing firm in the Lord. How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you? (NIV)
By grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, favors of courage, resolve and thankfulness are often received by those people who watch us weather the storms of life in our Christian walk.
After thundering heartbreaks have made us tremble, and winds of sorrow have bent our posture, and torrential tears have swept away all traces of joy from upon our face, people marvel to find us still firmly rooted in faith at the foot of the cross of our Redeemer.
Our strongest testimony, during the worst of times, is our silent, prayerful witness that our God is with us.
And because Jesus is present in our lives, everything we experience here on earth speaks to the assurance we have in the promise of eternal life.

1 Thessalonians 3:6
Timothy has just now come to us from you and has brought good news about your faith and love. He has told us that you always have pleasant memories of us and that you long to see us, just as we also long to see you. (NIV)
The key to all of our pleasant memories is an ever present dynamic faith in Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 2:19
For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you? (NIV)
The hope and joy we experience while serving the Crown King of Glory is not without needs for weak and strong believers alike:
The weak need encouragement, the strong need compassion;
the weak need sympathy, the strong need empathy;
the weak need to hold on, the strong need to move on.
And isn’t it wonderful that all of our needs are met in Jesus Christ?
