Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. (NIV)

This is what I seek:

To be with Christ today in all my wants and needs;
To be with Christ today in all my thoughts and deeds;
To be with Christ today in the presence of His grace;
To be with Christ today in His temple place.

To see Jesus we must be conscience of His presence everywhere. Now where will He appear to us today?

Psalm 26:12
My feet stand on level ground; in the great assembly I will praise the LORD. (NIV)

Not one of us is blameless. Not one of us can be trusted to live continually in the truth without wavering in sin. Our hearts and minds are not up to the task of being perfect. Our lips are not always pure; our hands are not always clean; our thoughts are not always righteous. Not a day goes by where a little lie here, or a tiny slight there, does not reveal a flaw in the house in which we reside; but we need not despair, for the cracked walls and dirty windows will stand the test of time because the “Guest” within, Jesus Christ, will prove us worthy to receive the promise of eternal life on judgment day.

Even though our testimony may be weak and our witness might be fragile, we can be thankful that the foundation that upholds us is rock solid.

And this is the beauty of our Lord and Savior: In the very same dwelling that is falling apart all around us, the glory of His Presence lives.

Psalm 25:14
The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. (NIV)

We have the Lord's ear. He is always listening to us. And He confides in us: Calming our anxious minds; soothing our trembling hearts; comforting our weary souls.

By grace, we are in quiet, self-assuring fellowship with the Lord who redeems apprehensive sinners, making known to us His everlasting covenant:
"All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away." John 6:37 (NIV)

Friends, Jesus Christ is worthy of our utmost respect. And simple obedience to the Word of God is the best way to show proper reverence to the Lord God: There is nothing to be frightened of in responding to the God of love.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-23
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not put out the Spirit's fire; do not treat prophecies with contempt. Test everything. Hold on to the good. Avoid every kind of evil. May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. (NIV)

Jesus Christ is the "Ultimate Reality." His gift to us is Himself, the God of peace. And He comes to us with sanctifying grace:

Jesus warms our hearts with His presence through the Holy Spirit;
He dispels our fears with His promises in the Holy Scriptures;
and He enables us to hold on to what is good by virtue of His unconditional love.

Joy, prayer and thanksgiving, all without any qualms about them: These are the benefits of God’s will for us in Christ Jesus.
